I have some thoughts on this whole atrocious piece of garbage. Your disdain is so apparent it's painful. Let me lay out some examples for you. https://twitter.com/IsaacDovere/status/1276495454671339521
Let's start with the URL which contains the term you use here "shadow campaign". Pretty much sets the tone that runs rampant through this article. “Shadow campaign” Is loaded language meant to give the impression of something underhanded or dark/mysterious/evil.
There a quite a few people being considered for VP and very obviously want it – are they running “shadow campaigns” also? Is it some dark conspiracy playing out?
Moving on..the second paragraph. "Pretending"? What the hell does that even mean? She's out there working, how is that "pretending"? Because she's not advertising she wants to be VP. I can just see your article if that was the case.
Oddly enough Sen. Harris is specifically qualified for this moment in time. Instead of looking at that you write her off as a pretender? Why not consider the fact that she responding to the times, with policies and actions that are speaking to these times?
On to the next paragraph...This describes...well...politicians and their campaigns or staffs. What politician isn't careful? Again you make this sound somehow ominous and dirty. Is that the case for all politicians then? Because your disdain seems pretty damn specific.
Also referencing the above paragraph and several other things you've written. Being ambitious and wanting to be VP or Pres or a Staff Writer for a publication for instance, DOES NOT negate the desire to want to help people. Why is it that men like you don't allow women to be
ambitious as well as compassionate or driven to help like you allow men to be? Right after you say "This careful campaign..." again implying everything she is doing is orchestrated rather than a true reflection of what she believes.
And this? Other than being a obvious gaslighting and bullying technique wtf does it mean?
Again here you are implying that perfectly typical behavior BY EVERY POLITICIAN EVER is somehow specific to the Sen. and nefarious. You also seem overly fond of framing Sen. Harris as deflecting. It's odd because she is very direct.
"This is typical." Ffs again with the jabs that. I don't see a whole lot of people talking specifics about the job, that's a bit dependent on their boss. As to the whole Megan McCain thing? I'm glad she didn't, in any way, validate that whole thing. Why should she?
Also "preexisting reputation for evasiveness"? Again, Wtf? Again you make it sound nefarious because she wants to have time to respond thoughtfully to a controversial topic instead of some "off the cuff" answer that people will tear apart or that can't actually be supported. And
guess what? We have a few very visible politicians that do that way too much. Something about funding M4All comes to mind as an example. Um..."...heard from high-level Democrats..." blah, blah, blah...gaslight much? You've clearly learned a bit too much from our current pres.
This one...oh boy. Are you suggesting that there is no difference in the expectations of a man vs woman or a white person vs a black person? Seriously?
Referencing the above paragraph..."Hail Mary". Um...no. It was a reasonable thing to believe and the fact that Sen Warren and others ridiculed or dismissed it speaks to their issues not hers.
What makes you think she was "chastened". Because Sen. Warren was? (According to her own words.) This just shows that you believe a woman should be chastened (and maybe stop trying to be more than a woman should be??).
As to the whole debate thing. Interestingly she gave Biden a big wide opportunity to handle that in a way that would have looked favorably upon him, likely helped him and likely shut up a lot of future talk. He missed it and everyone has been framing Sen. Harris as a villain for
it. Oddly enough IT WAS A DEBATE ffs. That's not really the time you pull your punches or be nice. I an 100% certain if a man had said the same thing NO ONE would be on and on and on ad naseum about this. Also you on about "deflecting" again. *sigh*
This paragraph. Total you putting your bias and hate onto the Sen. She didn't endorse Biden because of the other people running. That's fair. And as a woman totally understandable. Yet you have to reframe it, again, as something underhanded.
The whole "...beam of light woman of color...". That is truly garbage and speaks volumes. Sen. Harris is qualified. Period. Choosing a black woman is not a token gesture. There has already been plenty of discussion about this obscenity.
As to Harris fans comparing her to Warren (another "leading contender"). Let me make this clear to you. I don't see Warren as a leading contender. I think she is less qualified, less of a team player, less on almost every level than Harris. I don't compare her because I think
they are comparable. I do because it is astounding and offensive to me that anyone actually believes they are.
