for carrying this LIVE, both TV and Social Media.
Covid-19 is affecting latinos bad. So bad, that 43% of confirmed cases are in fact, latinos. That's the reason this press conference was created, so mi gente could get the message first hand.

While we got an outpouring response from the community, amazing feedback from state officials, it wasn't the same for many. I looked at other local news facebook pages' comments, and, nothing new, it was BAD..
"In English please?"
"None of the other channels are broadcasting this. We want The Price is Right. Feliz Navidad."
"Yes, since when was English a 2nd lenguage here in America."
...and you can imagine all of the different comments, sick.

In the other hand, I am so proud of the people that are brave enough to call out discrimination, racism, etc. I am proud of those that defend what is right. The USA is a melting pot of different cultures and we can't ignore, for some of us, our duality and this reality.
I rarely post work related stuff, but I hope, when you read this, specially you, my brothers and sisters, who happened to be white and were born in this beautiful country, to stand up against racism, discrimination, and those who promote it.
I hope you, next time you sing the last verse of your beautiful national anthem, "...and the home of the brave," you can sing it feeling even more proud. #COVID19 #HabloEspañol #racism
