masks are nothing more than a gentle reminder that you need to care about people other than yourself and that’s why Americans are freaking out about wearing them
the pandemic has been politicized...masks wearing has literally become a notion of tribal allegiance and it’s bizarre. The common arguments against wearing masks don’t really add up...

Before I continue this thread, the worst possible scenario is that masks DONT WORK. Which is...fine? It does not harm to the wearer and one should still follow other safety guidelines.
The hypoxia theory regarding mask wearing is absurd. It’s not going to reduce your oxygen or increase your CO2 too much.

there’s a study people refer to about the inability of cloth masks to protect the wearer, which I will find. But it was placed in a hospital setting. Of course a cloth masks has limited usage in a hospital, that’s why hospital workers need real PPE
the people who refuse to wear masks are often conspiracy theorist who cherry pick information but struggle at second and third order thinking...
