detransitioning is a transition in itself. it& #39;s coming to terms with parts of yourself that you& #39;ve repressed for so long. it& #39;s coming out to people again. it& #39;s processing physical changes that are difficult to take back. it& #39;s grieving who you once were, and accepting the present.
it can be really difficult for those of us who have never confronted these difficult feelings before. (2/)
to reduce our stories to "i thought i was a man for 4 years" doesn& #39;t take into account our histories, our traumas, our sense of self- all important aspects that address why we transitioned in the first place. (3/)
