detransitioning is a transition in itself. it's coming to terms with parts of yourself that you've repressed for so long. it's coming out to people again. it's processing physical changes that are difficult to take back. it's grieving who you once were, and accepting the present.
it can be really difficult for those of us who have never confronted these difficult feelings before. (2/)
to reduce our stories to "i thought i was a man for 4 years" doesn't take into account our histories, our traumas, our sense of self- all important aspects that address why we transitioned in the first place. (3/)
