With all due respect to Craig, Richard and Trent, I reckon there could have been a little more gender rep in this sentence in @theage, considering big fiction still coming in 2020 includes @janeharperautho, Sofie Laguna, @lauraelvery, @victorialhannan & ME!!

And I’ve probably missed a BUNCH of others - please point them out to me so we can spread the love! X

And yes I get that the ‘big fiction’ definition is very specific but I suspect that Harper and Laguna will match or outsell some of the mentioned titles, & you know, if they don’t, why not?

Because of the perpetuation of (white)male authors as having more literary value.

Have loved & will continue to read the work of the authors mentioned in the article, but this is a time we need to be critically analysing the works that continue to be promoted above others & journos and publications can use their power to promote other, equally worthy titles.
