If this were a regular WWDC week I would be devastatingly tired right now, after days of non-stop social-butterflying, over-indulging, and barely sleeping. I wish I felt worse right now!
I see good criticism from @Aleen about the exclusionary aspects of in-person WWDC. I've often felt excluded even as a pretty well-known, industry-accomplished, white, cis, straight man. It's a challenge for any huge meetup to tackle. Agree it's important. https://twitter.com/Aleen/status/1276632327855108096
I don't say that to argue that "all exclusions matter", far from it. I mean to say that everybody in that venue should be able to appreciate the threat of feeling excluded and commit to working to improve the culture of the conference.
I think one way to help is for every attendee who has any social capital at all to lend this to the people around them. I try to do it when I can, and I'm sure I could do better. Introduce yourself, invite people to join, introduce them to others. This is social 101.
