1). Why I’m mad. National knows many people have suffered from extreme anxiety and worry during Lockdown. And many still are. NZ already has a serious problem with mental health. Why would anyone deliberately add to this by creating the impression that COVID-19 is not contained?

2). All positive tests are from those who live here and have returned to NZ. All are in isolation, quarantined and checked. Spreading fear and lies is not only irresponsible and hurting NZ, it is cruel.

3). I see firsthand the effects on people who are too afraid to live their lives. They are in countries where they’ve not been as lucky as we are. We have been given given this real opportunity by great leadership and a team of 5 million playing their part.

4). The global economic consequences of the virus will continue to be a challenge, but because of our team effort we’re coming out safer and stronger. The opportunity now is to keep building on that success
