How Turkey censors the oppositions’ voice, especially the #Kurds?

A thread about what happened to my friend and the talented Journalist @bestoon_khalid. 👇🏻
Last week, @cuneytozdemir a popular Turkish “journalist” hosted @bestoon_khalid, a talented Kurdish Journalist from Iraqi Kurdistan on his live show and interviewed him.
@cuneytozdemir asked @bestoon_khalid about what is happening in Kurdistan and how people consider the Turkish airstrikes “against the PKK.” Bestoon replied to the question and said that the Kurds here think that the attacks are not against the PKK but they are against the Kurds.
He also named some of the civilians who got killed by the Turkish airstrikes in Iraq Kurdistan. @cuneytozdemir interruptted him and did not let him finish. He wanted to change the subject. @bestoon_khalid insisted on delivering these facts that are censored in the Turkish media.
@bestoon_khalid explained what the Kurds think about the airstrikes, how civilians get killed by Turkey and how PYD and PKK are different. Regardless of @cuneytozdemir’s attempts to change the subject and silencing him, Bestoon said all the truth.
Later, the Turkish “journalist” @cuneytozdemir who many call him a propaganda machine for the Turkish state, erased the interview and did not let the Turkish people see what Bestoon said in the interview.
Now, the Turkish Journalist is accusing @bestoon_khalid for doing propaganda because he explained how the Turkish airstrikes killed civilian Kurds. As a Journalist who is aware of the facts on ground, I want to show my solidarity with @bestoon_khalid, the voice of the unheard.
Please follow @bestoon_khalid and @cuneytozdemir should apologize for what he did against him.
