I also think that Nigerian men have a problem serving Nigerian women, even if they pay for it and are deserving of the best service.

I have experienced this not once, not twice. Once got on a taxi with my Fiancee some years back, so after negotiating, the man demanded more... https://twitter.com/CaptainArinze/status/1276411567509135361
He automatically assumed I was the one paying and went on to disrespect my fiancee saying 'Madam, you just siddown there dey look, add small money nau, make we complete am'

I went on to tell him that she was the one paying, and he still didn't apologise and we got off the ride.
This is not to abstract our experience as the only case.

But take the case of the recent hub we just launched in Ilorin, renovating the building took us over a million, but all the artisans (men in this case) delivered poorly, had to be over supervised and went on to insult her
And she would say things like 'if it was a man doing this project, you would not be trying to swindle him, act poorly or render a horrible service'

Some of them were renegotiating work in the middle of an invoice already paid for, because they can mess with a woman after all.
Let me not even talk of the time someone on this app disrespected her work, almost alluding that her work would be last choice if they had to pick by who was effecting real change in Kwara State. I see those tweets and I realise fam, we have a long way to go.
This person accusing our work with small businesses and young people has never lifted a finger and forgive my french is in fact a nobody, but yeah, the easiest shot is the woman because you can, society tells you that even if you are a nonentity, you are bigger than a woman.
I say this to say that Nigerian men need to understand that women actually deserve proper service. Not because they are women, but because they are in fact paying for a service and deserve that it be rendered to the full value like it would with other men.
Weren't we on this app, when women came to complain that they can't get into clubs and hotels without men accompanying them? How is that acceptable behaviour.

Have you seen the contempt with which men serve women in restaurants? it's like they can't come to the terms that women
... can and should deserve their service, even if you are paying.

I am not absolving women, but I think Nigerian men need to do a lot of unlearning as it concerns how to treat women. Equitably and like a human being deserving of full value for services they pay for.

that's that
