so after l!fe is interesting to me because i feel like, honestly, frontloading the tragic backstories into the initial R card stories is... actually a pretty decent idea

not that it's like, amazing storytelling, so much as like. the main story (at least the first two chapters lol) are very episodic and monster of the week-y
and frankly
im too cynical to expect long shelf lives from mobage

so being able to just blat you in the face with the backstory actually like
kinda works so you can immediately go "okay this one grabs me in the nads" without having to wait for the main story to focus on 20 individual characters

from a traditional storytelling perspective it's a very odd choice but for a mobage i actually think it's, like. actually pretty, like, player friendly
