My gratitude to those who were able to get in touch with @twitter to explain that am the target of a sustained campaign to have me suspended permanently from here: the far-right is afraid of critical voices. They will keep trying but am reinstated for now. 2 important things:

1. As @GavanTitley has tweeted, a rightwing Norwegian "intellectual" has circulated a doctored image purporting to be a tweet from me. Quite apart from the absurd content, the piss poor writing makes it clear it is not from me.

2. Please note that

there are at least two fake accounts purporting to me. These have been reported to @Twitter but no doubt more will proliferate. Again, bigots & far-right types have only lies & fraud in their arsenal since neither justice nor truth are on their side. Please watch, please alert me

Am grateful to everyone for support I am getting right now including @englishunicam & @CambridgeCops who have taken the threats with due seriousness & are investigating. Anonymity & proton mail will not protect cowardly abusers. Thanks also to @GyungheePark who has been amazing.

& finally, in the midst of all the rape threats, death threats, graphic images, racism, casteism & ugliness, thanks to everyone who has taken the time to support tweet, & to write to me privately with solidarity. They are ugly & violent but we shall prevail. Solidarity!

The name of the Norwegian who is spreading a doctored tweet (using bizarre military language!) claiming to be from me is Kjetil Rolness (yeah, I've not heard of him either). Please report it if you see it on Twitter.
