Young Men: the people all around you, the places where you hang out, the media you consume--non of it will teach you how to treat women/NB people like people. You can learn, but you have to take initiative on it. Our fathers, friends, schools and games will just keep failing us.
I don& #39;t have a relationship with my father. He wasn& #39;t equipped to teach me how to navigate the world, how to deal with sexuality in a healthy way, how to form meaningful relationships. I had to learn from others and I had to learn on my own.
And almost everywhere I went to spend my time was full of other people like me, who had no idea what they were doing, who were raised on porn and comedies and action movies and bullshit. I was a complete dumbass, I had a "Nice Guy" phase, I was pretty goddamn lost
Fortunately I had people around me who taught me to be kind and treat people like people, but even they weren& #39;t equipped to help me figure out how to date or just be friends with women in a healthy way and respect boundaries. That took therapy and RESEARCH and listening
If you& #39;re upset by all the predation and abuse, that& #39;s not an aberration, that& #39;s the DEFAULT, that& #39;s what happens right now when you& #39;re raised online and on autopilot. Do NOT listen to the gamerbros in your matches and on your discord servers, they& #39;re going to numb you to it
As all this pain comes up to the surface there are wise people and good resources you can use to learn how to be better. PLEASE don& #39;t look away from it. Please.
