** PROJECT RESTART UPDATE **

I shared my plan at the restart (below) and I have now decided to WC!

I am writing my notes so I can reflect on them at the end of the season to improve going forward and thought I'd share the same.

First I'll share how I progressed:

#GW30

107 pts helped me move from 119K to 81K. I was happy with the gain in rank but was unhappy that my Captain strategy once again failed me. Sterling only played once and along with that Egan got a Red Card weakening my bench.

Then in #GW31

I purged my two planned hits and got Son, Richarlison & Dubravka in.

Result was 72 - 8 = 64

This led to a fall of 30K to 110K

The Captaincy blank really hurt and over the 2 weeks managers gained more due to big at the back points.

So I went back to the drawing board first to check my own performance as manager:

Observation:

1. I reached the 100K mark in GW13 and haven't made headway since. I get rejected time and again from within 100K

2. My Captaincy calls have come right only 50% of the time.

But even while my Captaincy calls were right only 50% and I wasn't being able to penetrate lower ranks I was holding my rank very well.

That's because my only GOAL has been to get an Avg. Weekly Pts. Score of (60+) which I knew will help me when I falter in the details.

To play to my strength of beating the weekly avg. I heard pods, read threads and looked at the stats again. I'd like to thank the following for my updated observations and new plan:

Observations:

1. Defenders were returning better than most forwards. Premium even more so.

Action: find the best defensive assets & invest in them

2. The average priced mids/fwds for PPG were better than most Prem & Cheap options

Action: More balance to mids/fwds

Only 5 teams didn't register a clean sheet since #GW29

wol/mnu/Liv/bri/Eve

Poorer form: city/shu/ars/nor/cry

Keeping the form/fixtures/observations these were the changes to Money allocation were that made on my WC team:

DEF: INC from 27.14% to 29.71% of allocation.

MID: INC from 46.97% to 48.12%

FWD: RED from 24.22% to 22.18%

Finally why did I shift my plan to WC in GW34 to GW32:

1. Title wrapped up could lead to more rotation: hence wanted 15 nailed players keeping above observations in mind

2. Clear evidence of better Asset allocation and returns from the same to help attack the final 7 GW's
