There were so many amazing people working on the Bid - from the Bid team, FFA staff, players, governments and over 800,000 of you as supporters - and they only went and did it.

Another magical moment to never forget was standing with the legendary @dolanj4 and watching the Opera House as the images changed around us. Seeing a visual representation of how women’s football has changed in over 40 years was awe inspiring.

And finally, my thank you to the women’s football community in Australia and around the world.

Honestly over the past 20 years, this community has come to mean everything. In hard moments personally, various people have been there supporting, reaching out, cheering on the game.

Even over the past 48 hours when feeling stressed (and @burnymcburnie coping the breakdown lol), it was, ugh, so bloody awesome to see the community supporting @AsOne2023. Y’all are actual MVPs and truly undefeated.
