i wrote this fast without thinking on it better: while i believe jenna is sincere, it’s not my apology to accept as a white person. her taking time off now or forever i think is her commitment to what she’s saying and the impact she wants to have. her acknowledgment was

so important and so is her development. I kind of came at cancel culture because it’s intention isn’t always helpful but saying her leaving is the fault of cancel culture negates the real feelings some people had and were were hurt by no matter when they were done.

this is something she fully recognizes and said and has done the right steps to make it right. i love her a lot but i realize it isn’t helpful for me to rail at cancel culture like i was a person effected and this has been a growing opportunity for me to recognize too.

i support her whatever she decides to do.
