Here's what hurts most about the 'white South Africans are African and 'S.A Indians are Africans' narrative:
When the Berllin Conference was held to divvy up Africa amongst the invaders, there was no African in the room asked for their opinion and approval. Our ancestors were dictated to in the most violent of manners.
When South Africa was made into a Republic, no one cared about Africans' involvement. We were told who we would be.
When Indians were brought to South Africa to work, not one African was in on the decision making process. Indians came here and basically got their freedoms off the backs of Africans through our anti colonial movements, & actively made it clear they were not African.
Post-Apartheid, Africans in South Africa have not been allowed the respect, space and opportunity to decide on how to pick up the pieces that have always been taken from us without regard for our autonomy. We have lost almost everything and have never been allowed to mourn.
Now we have realised that out attempts at humanity are read as weakness and we now want to determine our own identity, humanity, position and what that means in relation to other Africans (BLACK PEOPLE WORLDWIDE) and other races.
We r stopped from doing that. Again.

As Africans we're never given the right to ourselves. It's always demanded that we give or else.

No one has been punished for apartheid.

Our dehumanization is always absolute.

And it hurts to read our own people agreeing with our erasure
