You don't have to like her. But you can't spread lies.

There are people who had legit grievances against Bee, and they certainly don't have to forgive her. Nobody owes her anything. But YOU CANNOT MAKE SHIT UP ABOUT PEOPLE EVEN IF YOU HATE THEM and this is a principle i will defend with every fibre of my being.

And -- i cannot stress this enough -- I WAS THERE. I witnessed basically all of the posts and interactions that were later used to paint her as an "abuser". I will not lie about what i personally witnessed, and it DIRECTLY contradicts the narrative that's been created about her.

YOU HAVE TO CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH, EVEN WHEN IT'S PERSONALLY INCONVENIENT TO YOU.

As an aside: this is why i don't signal-boost every accusation or callout i see. Because while "believe victims" is a great heuristic, IT IS A HEURISTIC. I am generally unwilling to signal-boost allegations that i haven't at least minimally checked, WHICH TAKES TIME AND EFFORT.

There are a couple RIGHT NOW, in particular, that i am not signal-boosting, because parts of them smell odd to me. Which doesn't mean "oh, Adrienne doesn't believe victims", it means i care about the truth and i am waiting for more information.

I take survivors of abuse seriously. I also know about DARVO. And i don't jump on bandwagons.
