Iam in the travel industry for over 25 years, i specialise in south asia and Indo China region, i would like to share my observation with regards to the ground situation in North east and the extent of Chinese influence
This is the Chinese Mayanmar border

Every day several caravans of Chinese trucks carry Chinese consumer goods into Mayanmar through this border
Originally these goods are destined for towns in Mayanmar like Lashio, Mandalay,Yangon, but actually they reach far away places like Indo- Mayanmar border (Tamu on Mayanmar side and Moreh on Indian side) & from there these goods are flooded into Imphal, Kohima, Dimapur ,Guwahati
So through this route not only Mayanmar but entire North eastern states are flooded with cheap Chinese products.

For India the road from Guwahati to Moreh is supposed to be its highway to South East Asia as per the Act East Policy. But most convoys of trucks are headed in
The opposite direction , it is China not India which is benefiting most from the opening of the new trade routes through Mayanmar.

I request @narendramodi ji @nsitharaman @DrSJaishankar to look into this and take immediate corrective measures
In the early 90s China built a bridge in Jiegao along the Mayanmar border , then announced it as a free trade zone , later promoted the trade corridor and finally reached the Indian ocean through the Mayanmar port kyaukpyu. China has already bypassed the Malacca Straights
Now it has built gaint gas and oil pipelines from Kyaukpyu to its southern Yunan province. Hotels in Ruili showcase maps of Chinese grand plans of highways , railways connecting Yunan province to various cities of Mayanmar.
Now China has greased the military junta in Mayanmar , now China is the largest trading partner, ally and military equipment supplier of Mayanmar
