A thread on how to "treat people with kindness"
let's learn the DEFINITION of tpwk:
• 'TPWK' stands for 'treat people with kindness', which harry styles has used as a slogan on his merchandise since his first solo tour across 2017 and 2018, and has been widely adopted by his fans as a symbol for LOVE, KINDNESS and ACCEPTANCE.
“Small changes end up making a big difference,” he said. “It’s about being a lot nicer to each other rather than, ‘Don’t do this, or don’t do that, not this yes that.’ It’s just saying, ‘Treat people with kindness,’ you know."
- harry styles explaining about TPWK
Why is kindness so important?
-- Kindness improves our quality of life in the workplace as well as in the community. It brings people TOGETHER. Doing good for others feels good. Showing kindness to others is just as rewarding as receiving it from someone else.
How to treat people with kindness? Well let me show you how...
1.) Respect others
-- Receiving respect from others is IMPORTANT because it helps us to feel safe and to express ourselves... Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they're DIFFERENT from you or you don't agree with them.
2.) Love others
-- Love is about caring another human being's existence. It is wanting to be there for someone, to SUPPORT them and help them grow. to make a difference in someone's LIFE; to share in and care about someone else's happiness.
3.) Dont judge others.
-- Judging someone can have similar effects to other forms of discrimination. Judging can also result in people being less likely to talk about what they're going through and ask for the help they need.
4.) Practice self respect.
-- Respect starts with you. Respect yourself by knowing your rights as an individual and allowing yourself to make choices.
5.) Put yourself into other people’s shoes.
-- it can be hard to be respectful of other people’s views if you cannot relate to them. This can help you understand their point of view better and respond in a more empathetic way.
6.) Apologize when you make mistakes.
-- If you mess up, own it. It’s normal to make mistakes, but it’s important to acknowledge your mistakes and how they impact others.
