If you make a sweeping negative assumption about a person based solely on the color of their skin... call it plain prejudice, punching up, intersectionality, whatev.. Idc how you try to justify it—

You’re racist.

& yes—that includes white people talking about other white people
I’m not ceding the meaning of words to hyperbole, hashtags, or allowing narcissistic exemptions for certain people groups—no matter how privileged or oppressed history was for them

The gaslighting has to stop

If you want a subcategory for your intersectional BS—just add a word!
If you move goalpost on racism to justify reverse prejudice: “that’s just hurt feelings—get over it” & revise “racism=racial prejudice+power” it‘s REDUNDANT to proceed using the term “ #SystemicRacism”—you just defined racism as that! If ya gonna use THAT term—leave racism alone.
Homophobe used to mean—fear of homosexuals. Like, “don’t get too close, talking makes me uncomfortable & I don’t wanna be friends.” But ya moved the goalposts to now mean— “I personally don’t think its a moral inclination, but I support your rights & btw—wanna come over for BBQ?”
Transphobe used to mean—fear of transgender/transsexual. Like, “OMG that lady is really a man? ABOMINATION!” But ya moved the goalpost to now mean— “I think teens should wait till their an adult to transition, & should REALLY make sure they have legit dysphoria before operation.”
Islamaphobe used to mean—fear of Muslims. Like, “Oh no, there’s a Muslim man over dressed in Thobe, is he going to suicide bomb us??” But ya moved the goalpost to now mean—“I love Muslims & have Muslim friends. I just disagree w/doctrines of Islam & think a forced hijab is wrong”
White supremacy used to mean—the belief that white people are better than other races & should have their own land. Like Richard Spencer. I don’t really need to define this. But still ya just had to move the goalpost to now mean— (next tweet👇🏻)
2020 white supremacy: “a system which historically benefited whites by enslavement of blacks, yet in more recent history has also liberated & empowered more blacks than any other society on earth. But it still needs much work in many areas—which almost everyone agrees.”
I could go on & on, Nazi, sexist, misogynist, etc. You get my point.
If you want to nuance a word to focus on a particular issue that relates to it, either come up w/ a new word or conjunct another word to it. Like systemic + racism, or homocritic, Transcritic, Islamacritic, etc.
