I purchased 30 copies of White Fragility. I wrapped up each one like a present.

In every patient visit with my white patients (when appropriate), I hand them a note that says the following:

Dear patient,

On the inside cover I wrote, “Thank you for choosing anti-racism. You may be wondering how you start this journey. By picking up this book you have started. Please take the book, read it, and return when you are done.”

On the last page I wrote, ”Thank you for reading. Please draw a small heart on the inside of the front cover. This will show you how many others before you have read it too. Thank you for choosing anti-racism.”

I started this in May. I am starting to get them back!!
