Good lord.

Nobody knows how anything works.

"This May Be The Most Plausible Cause Of Civil War" is pure horse manure that could've been debunked with less than one minute of Googling.

Here's the scenario, which fails in the second sentence:

Michigan turns red, giving Trump just enough Electoral College votes to win reelection.

Governor Whitmer intervenes and decides the Electoral College votes should go to the popular vote winner.

Guys, Michigan's Electoral College votes go to the winner of a PLURALITY of popular votes.

Plurality: the number of votes cast for a candidate who receives more than any other but does not receive an absolute majority of TOTAL VOTES CAST.

So if Whitmer somehow unilaterally changes the law AFTER THE ELECTION and says that the winner of the ABSOLUTE MAJORITY of the popular vote gets the Electoral College votes, it could backfire dramatically.

It could mean that Trump gets both the Electoral College AND the popular vote.

But AGAIN, how could anyone in their right mind think there's going to be a civil war?

Does anyone even know what the term means?

Who would fight it?

Hundreds or even thousands of partisan yahoos firing at each other isn't a civil war.

You need the ARMED FORCES to split.

Anyone see that happening?

All this talk of a civil war says NOTHING about Americans and EVERYTHING about the people making the claim.

We have this Niagara of total ignorance and contempt endlessly pouring into the landscape of social media.

And it's all premised on the utterly MORONIC idea that this is going to be a close election.

Then he pauses to do THIS.

Does reality EVER intrude?

There's absolutely NO EXCUSE to continue being this obtuse.

It's like believing in sorcery.

The only thing that makes people latch on to horse manure is polls.

Because 2016 never happened, right?

Does being young mean you have to be stupid?

Do you have the foggiest notion of how bad things have gotten AFTER the Civil War of 1861 to 1865?

During an 18-month period between 1971 and 1972, we had FIVE NATIONWIDE BOMBINGS PER DAY.

Do you see that happening now?

We lost a PRESIDENT on November 22, 1963.

A major religious, political, and civil rights leader on February 21, 1965.

Our most important civil rights leader on April 4, 1968.

A former Attorney General and then-US senator and presidential candidate on June 6, 1968.

We've had massacres, armed terrorists shooting it out on our streets, open warfare between multiple organized criminal gangs...

And yet we're told that we're headed for civil war.

I blame arrested development.

Video games.

Stupid movies.

TV shows.

AND UNDERLYING IT ALL is the idée fixe that Trump has no idea what he's doing.

That's he'd dumb and just hoping for the best.

People like @parscale tell us all the time what Trump is doing, but it DOESN'T FIT THE NARRATIVE.

Guess who told Hitler to never ever ever ever get into a war with the United States?

Erwin Rommel, the Desert Fox of World War Two.

Most people don't know that he was an alpine soldier in World War One.

He was awarded Germany's highest medal for valor, the Pour le Mérite, which he's wearing around his neck here in 1917.

Rommel independently invented all the shock-troop tactics that the Kaiser's Glamor Boy Willy Rohr is credited with inventing.

Rohr and Rommel came up with exactly the same ideas without consulting each other.

Mountain fighting is almost unbelievable hard.

The men often have to march single file, so a regiment can be spread out in a line several miles long.

It's impossible to issue orders except by passing them verbally from man to man.

Rommel's men carried ARTILLERY up the mountains.

They would conduct night attacks in which they climbed above the enemy trenches and SLID DOWN THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, throwing hand grenades.

Rommel was totally insubordinate. He ignored stupid orders and kept winning, so his superiors gave up trying to control him.

From October 25 to 27, 1917, Rommel and his 150 men captured 9000 Italians.

He came up with the idea to have his men learn to speak completely bilingual-sounding Italian, so the Germans shouted bogus orders that made the Italians think they'd lost.

"Oh my God! The line has broken! Run, Luigi!"

"I'm not staying here and dying! LOOK OUT! HERE THEY COME!"

Etcetera.

Rommel was shocked at how QUICKLY the totally ramshackle US conscript army became superior to the Germans.

And he was stunned by the rapid ramping up of US industrial might.

THE GERMANS WERE NEVER ABLE TO DESIGN A GOOD LIGHT MACHINE GUN.

They used captured British Lewis guns--AN AMERICAN DESIGN.

We came up with the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR).

(She's not firing an American BAR. It's a Fabrique Nationale FN M1930 or something similar.)

Rommel told Hitler that Americans are NOT decadent, soft, weak, stupid, and inferior. If Germany took us on, Germany would lose badly.

That's from an expert alpine assault combat veteran, not an idiot on social media.

Hitler ignored Rommel and declared war on us on December 11, 1941.

Rommel did his best, telling everyone all along what they were doing wrong.

Hitler finally forced him to commit suicide on October 14, 1944, after learning that Rommel supported the assassination of Hitler.

The people telling you that there's going to be a civil war hold you in contempt.

I tell you that there WON'T be a civil war because I don't hold you in contempt.

Who are you going to believe?
