Asian GM of Momiji—in #CHOP Seattle—assaulted and called Black Woman the n-word. It was Black people who jumped in to protect her. George Floyd was murdered by a white cop, but was shielded from the crowd by Asian Officer Tou Thao.

Asians protect and perpetuate white supremacy.

GM of Momiji was fired immediately but its not enough. This man was in charge of running the whole biz. He was entrusted to manage staff while harboring this level of anti-blackness. Momiji and establishments like this have bigger problem than just getting rid of “bad apples”

Black people have paid the price for resisting their own oppression and paved the way for all liberation. But instead of standing in solidarity, Asians have been the protectors of white supremacy by letting white supremacy continue to use AAPIs as a shield to protect their power.

We won’t end white supremacy and unjust murders of Black and Indigenous people until we address and change the anti-blackness in Asian communities. For Asians/Asian Americans, the American Dream also meant being Anti-Black. It is not just white people that need to be accountable.
