If your struggling to hit in the game, instead of trying to search for a mechanical solution to fix your problems, change up the task & environment you are practicing in. Easy practice doesn’t lead to easy success in games. Most times players are practicing in environments
Entirely too easy for sustained game success. A player recently reached out to me looking for swing advice on timing. I asked, “how much are you presented timing challenges in practice?” “Never”

Well your solution isn’t in a swing tip. It’s in training environment.
Your training task & environment should make the game represent “this shits easy” meaning training should make the game easier. In the example above I suggested the player add 3 plate weighted bat machine BP to his/her training. Meaning setting up 3 plates and starting
With the heaviest swing weight bat (end load) on the shortest distance and working to the lightest swing weight (light bat) at the longest distance and changing plates every 3 swings. This gives you no more than 3 swings to calibrate your “go” timing & swing time.
If you get mentally defeated by these challenges in practice did you ever really stand a chance in the game? The goal of practice is to provide calm in the middle of the storm. If you’ve faced 92mph 3 plate weighted bat BP in practice in practice & mashed then in the game your
Mentality in the game becomes “this ain’t shit” which is the goal. Success in chaos breeds a quiet competitive mind.
