What is a PMP and why should I secure the certification? What makes me qualified? What are the specific steps you need to apply? What type of study supports do you need to assist you with passing your PMP on the 1st try?

1. Project Management Professional is globally recognized cert' which tells prospective employers, peers or clients you are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with an extensive budget of a million-plus.

2. Many roles in our society have pm components so why you may have been previously hired with the title "Project Manager" doesn't mean you haven't performed the takes needed to manage projects.

3. Your education and number of years of experience will qualify you for PMP

4. Steps to apply for PMP are as follows:
a) Check your qualifications on http://pmi.org 
b) Create an account and complete your pmi application
c) Verify your 35 contact hrs are from a registered provider from pmi
d) Submit your application & waiting for app status

e) Con't studying while awaiting your results from PMI
f) Receive results schedule exam 6wks out (my suggestion)
g) Take exam & Pass
