In the same breath, there are spaces who services and accommodate us and I fully will get behind those spaces.
So many are asking, so I’ll start with my experience.

The ENTITY that I received the request from was CMW. As a hip hop artist and as with many of my peers, the treatment we receive at the hands of this organization is as if we are only there to fill a quota.
We are constantly added onto line ups, ESPECIALLY Canadian acts, paid in peanuts and given less than disersble time slots, we as in hip hop acts. There is no diversity in their judging panels and only recently have they sprinkled us into their panels.
