here we go

it's a relatively short video, and tbh i've already seen it, this time i'm going to be paying attention to the chat and poking around on facebook

from here i'll be summarizing, other than establishing the sources for obvious reasons i've no interest in doxing individual activists

one of the commentators immediately provides one

first impression: establishing principles here is going to be key, there's going to be a lot of he-said-she-said as to who went where and when the cops did what, who fired on who, etc and i'm here for it but this stuff right here is essentials real researchers will need later

a minute in you can hear the crowd much larger than depicted on screen as vaun approaches, commentators have already started talking about "they took people out" and "they took the kids out"

vaun gets around to the police cordon as chat explodes

the crowd is large, spread out over several city blocks and you can see that clearly as vaun walks around, but it's so chaotic no individual shot really captures the size of it, you'll just have to watch the video if you want to see yourself

two minutes in vaun is near the house, you can start to see the central bulk of the crowd though again there's easily ten times as many spread out on the surrounding blocks, and talk of people being taken out the back starts being heard on audio

2:08 someone yells out, "they took the babies"

vaun takes a glance back at the crowd, Krystal Milton's name is mentioned in full for the first time outside of a local missing person's story (that i'm aware of), and someone says they did not search the house and someone else notes people were led out in handcuffs

three minutes in police begin making unintelligible announcements over the loudspeaker, also, there are many more of them now

vaun speaks to the camera, says "this right here is unacceptable yall because if any kids came out that house and they searched that house that means they didn't search the fucking house"

first reference to the prevailing story, which is that the cops went in once, came out, told the crowd nothing was there, then later people in the crowd claim to have seen them sneaking people out of the back of the house

a woman approaches vaun and says she saw five people leave the house with the police, she says she isn't sure if she's in the vehicle you can see or one that left earlier

you can see her fingernail pointing at bottom of screen, police vehicle in second pic

vaun turns to the camera and repeats the woman's story, pretty much as i've described it, in the meantime the police have formed a bicycle line

additional details emerge, including references to other livestreams not mentioned on twitter (that i know of as of this post)

a man with a loudspeaker approaches the front as the crowd begins spontaneously chanting black lives matter, once he settles in he begins leading them in more specific chants

vaun moves around the crowd towards the group visible on the right in the previous pictures

once he gets in place you can see the house once again the house is surrounded by large crowds in every direction, they just aren't all pushing in on the cops at once

here vaun moves in to get a closer look at the police van, what they're calling paddy wagon on camera

a man approaches vaun to talk about the police, says "they escalated all of this"

meanwhile, chat is off the chain now

the man in the white shirt continues, he says he was here the first time that the police came to the house says they went inside, came out, said everything was fine, and *walked off* then returned after a crowd gathered and set up a perimeter

vaun asks the man directly "did they take kids out of this house?" the man says yes, four, and describes them (vaguely: small boy, large girl, the last two are hard to make out with the crowd in the background i'll follow up on the specifics later if they are corroborated at all)

clarification: he says a gay man came out of the house, a large girl, an old man, and two boys - yes i know that's five and he said four, i've watched this segment live & five times in a row now, the pictures don't really convey just how chaotic and loud the scene is

some speculation at the top here, and at the bottom a commentator says they personally saw more than four, earlier this same commentator referenced 10 when speaking to another person in chat

a new man on the audio says he saw six come out, points to one of the cops, and says, "and that motherfucker laughed"

vaun doesn't show his face, you can see the back of his shirt and the cop he was talking about here though

the crowd is much larger and closer to the police seven minutes in, first helmet appears too, i've seen flack vests in the crowd now too and tactical gear

red shirt guy is pointing over a person and directly at a cop, loudly demanding to know why if nothing's going on in there why is there a forensic investigation team on site taking out evidence

someone in the crowd is yelling out, "wasn't none of them handcuffed" over and over

someone in chat claims to have seen the van pulled up to the door so people could be taken out more quickly

the crowd notices, starts talking about, and vaun zooms in on, this cop's hand tattoo

vaun notes the cop's knuckle tattoos spell out "P U R E E V I L"

twelve minutes in you can see a crowd has formed near the paddy wagon

seems relevant

vaun points out new cops are arriving in riot gear

some were visible previously as well in similar gear, the camera is moving a lot so the stills aren't great but you could make out the armor more clearly watching it in motion

a woman on the audio starts yelling across the crowd to vaun, she says that a lady in a green jacket came to the house "looking for her baby" when vaun asks the woman to say it again she says "that's why we're here"

vaun zooms in on men in suits leaving the house, one of them has approached the crowd

another man speaking, vaun has held the camera over so you can hear them clearly: "yeah, they did remove some of the people out of the house..." he trails off as he and vaun both turn to look at this guy, and says "that's- that's evidence"

camera follows this guy walking back to the other cops with the bags, you could see him in the background picking up something in grass and putting it in one of the bags

random note: i just saw helmet dude from earlier holding high dollar crotchrocket gloves, so i think he's just a bike guy and not a riot guy

vaun moves in close to the man in the suit who emerged from the house earlier, you can't really make out what he's saying but i can see someone else was recording it

the crowd continues to grow by the minute, every time the camera pans to a new angle there is less open space

vaun says he's running out of battery, suggests viewers "switch to frank live" or just look for him later, will follow up on both of those leads as we go here
