OH I have some fucking words today.
First of all, PicsArt is a trash source for clipart and images if you want legally licensed content.

Most of it is stolen from people who have no idea it's there - like me.

This isn't my first incident with PicsArt either.
The first one was resolved amicably through an attorney.
Can't talk about it because, you know, NDA.
But I can talk about this current mess.
PicsArt practically encourages infringement with their focus on the #freetoedit tag...

However, PicsArt does NOT bother to really inform people that they should own the content they are uploading for other people to edit or 'remix'.
It's buried in their Terms of Use, but now PicsArt is operating like a giant free clipart and stock company, & doing so irresponsibly

There is no warning that you should only upload content you own, no vetting of the people or content they are providing to the site as a free-for-all.
Now with their 'stickers', which are basically clipart, it's gotten worse.

Let's face it, too many people are clueless about copyright and DMCA laws, or they simply don't care.
Somehow people assume that anything on Google is free for the taking.
Google even has a disclaimer warning us that is not the case. Basically:

Just because it's easy to grab doesn't mean you are allowed to take it.
Now, I stated I'm okay with the side-by-side trend as long as I am credited - that didn't mean anyone could take my photos and make clipart with them, or upload a bunch of them to offer to people.

1. Side-by-Side pics ONLY are allowed, no cutting out my wings to put into photos, I already sell digital wings you can do that with on my site.
Using my photos without permission to make your own clipart is not allowed, as it takes away potential sales from me.

2. Credit me!
On Twitter it's not as bad to tag me only in the photo since sharing here shares the original tweet, but a text credit is even better because your tweets are being screen shot and shared again where that credit is lost.

3. Do NOT upload my photos to distribute them to followers in any way.
I can't believe I even have to say that, but distribution of someone else's content like that is infringement, 100%.

And it's especially frustrating when people snag content that was used to donate to charity!
Those first two wings in the screen shot, were the Trans Rights wings and the Black Lives Matter wings that I *just* made not even a month ago and they're already ripped on PicsArt.
