BREAKING: Devin Nunes can’t sue Twitter over statements by fake cow, judge rules https://www.fresnobee.com/news/nation-world/national/article243664982.html">https://www.fresnobee.com/news/nati...
Virginia Judge John Marshall essentially agreed with Twitter that the federal law known as Section 230 makes them immune from Nunes& #39; lawsuit: https://www.fresnobee.com/news/nation-world/national/article243664982.html">https://www.fresnobee.com/news/nati...
This does not, however, mean this lawsuit is dismissed. It is still pending against @DevinCow @NunesAlt @LizMair, it just no longer includes Twitter. But Nunes& #39; attorney has said they& #39;re at a "dead end" on identifying the two anonymous accounts. https://www.fresnobee.com/news/nation-world/national/article243664982.html">https://www.fresnobee.com/news/nati...
Without knowing who those people are, Nunes can& #39;t serve them in the lawsuit. He& #39;s been trying to make Twitter disclose the accounts& #39; identities, but they& #39;ve refused so far. This decision certainly doesn& #39;t make it easier for Nunes to identify them. https://www.fresnobee.com/news/nation-world/national/article243664982.html">https://www.fresnobee.com/news/nati...
The judge pretty much just agreed with the arguments Twitter made at a hearing nearly two weeks ago. Here& #39;s my story from that hearing: https://www.fresnobee.com/news/politics-government/article243488476.html">https://www.fresnobee.com/news/poli...
My great editor (who just had a baby!) has pointed out to me that I keep referring to Twitter as "them" when I should be saying "it." Apologies for my grammatical errors.
