- His grandfather donated ₹1.75 lakhs to Gov. O'Dwyer (who backed Gen. Dyer after the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre) & was also awarded the “Most Excellent Order of the British Empire” in 1920 for his loyalty.

- His father, the then COAS, was forced to resign after the 1962 war.
- His mami is the daughter of a dynast) who served in the Constituent Assembly & was ’s Ambassador to multiple nations
- His cousin was a journalist & political commentator affiliated with CPIM

This cousin’s publication was banned in the then State of Madras for publishing critical views on Nehurivan policy in 1950.
- This cousin went on to later become a part of Mrs. Indira Gandhi’s inner circle. He received multiple important political sinecures (eg. in ITDC)

- This cousin’s daughter was married to the man who’s grandfather had testified against Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru before they were sent to the gallows.

Side note: the aforementioned grandfather was knighted in 1944 & subsequently went on to become “aadhi Dilli ka maalik”.

- His other cousin is a famous “historian”. She tried very hard to prove that the Shree Ram Mandir did not exist in Ayodhya.

- Mrs. Indira Gandhi had designed a special treasure hunt for his sister’s birthday party.
- During the emergency, he was invited by Sanjay Gandhi to the Rashtrapati Bhawan for a special screening of 1 of the Pink Panther films.
- He used to dine at 1 Safdarjung Rd. in the 70s

Ecosystem? Nepotism? No sir, I have NO idea what that means & this intellectual journo clearly has no reason whatsoever to form any bias
