A #kacchako commission for @YumiisNSFW

#kacchakothread
It was a warm summer evening.

Sunlight poured in through the open curtains of his and Ochako's apartment, the sizzle of stir fry on the stove top and the harsh whirring of their air conditioning nearly drowning out the voices on the television.
It was Katsuki's day off, and he was cooking. Ochako had called him earlier to let him know she'd gotten caught up in an incident on her way back to their agency, but that she would be home soon.

"/Want back up/?" he'd asked with a grin, always ready for a fight.
"/I got this, Katsuki/," she said with a responding grin in her voice, "/now go back to being my good housewife/."

"/Oi/," he growled.
"/Love you/," she chirped cheerily, ignoring his indignation like she knew she could get away with it. And she could. He was so fucking weak to her. "/Gotta go now, but I'll be home soon/!"

"/Yeah you will. Kick their asses/."
He smiled at the memory, fondly exasperated at how she could handle villains four times her size but couldn't remember her own fucking chapstick.
With a flick of his wrist, he stirred the contents of the pan. His ears tuned into the television as best as he could over the roar of air conditioning, and he casually turned the volume up when he heard Ochako's name excitedly exclaimed in the midst of the play by play.
"/—hero Uravity is now on the scene! How will her quirk hold up against a villain like this/?"

"/She'll figure it out/," the other reporter shot back, "/she always manages to come up with something/!"

Bakugou smirked, forever proud of the name Ochako has made for herself.
It was a fucking nasty villain from the sounds of it. A woman who could turn to liquid to then creep inside the human body to kill from the inside out. Heroes were apparently keeping their distance despite the hostage in the woman's clutches. Fucking cowards.
"/Uravity, fearless as always, is rushing in—/!"

"'Atta girl," he rumbled, grinning towards the television. It was always a fucking pleasure watching his wife kick ass, especially when she got cocky about it.

Goddamm. He was lucky.
"/—she's zeroing in on the villain from behind, and—/"

"Zero Gravity Home Run," Katsuki murmured at the same time the video feed cut to Ochako yelling out the same signature move before smacking the still-solid villain with a weightless street sign.
Despite her war cry, she caught the villain by surprise and the woman couldn't liquify in time to avoid being hit. The hostage was effectively freed, and the villain knocked unconscious.
Ochako was almost instantly swarmed by reporters. Katsuki rolled his eyes as she smiled and waved to the cameras. She never had been good at turning down those incessant leeches asking for an interview.
The television cut to a split screen. One side showed the villain being taken into custody, the other showed Ochako, grimy and oh-so-fucking beautiful, breathing heavily and smiling at the microphone shoved in her face.

"/Uravity, are you at the end of your shift for today/?"
Ochako nodded, eyes on the villain on the sidelines as she was given quirk nullifying cuffs.

"/I was on my way back to my agency when I got the call/," she grinned, flicking her eyes to the reporter. "/It's okay though. I'll always help where I can/!"
"/You hardly blinked when you got on the scene/," the reporter continued. "/How are you always so fearless even when facing such horrifying quirks/?"

Ochako shrugged, winking at the camera.

"/Nothing is scarier than my husband/."
"Oi!" he exclaimed, turning the stove off and glaring at his wife's teasing smile.

Her comment pulled a hearty chuckle from the reporter, who only asked a few more questions before letting Ochako go.
Ochako bowed in gratitude and Katsuki's heart bled with warmth at the thought of Ochako coming home soon, despite the pout he was wearing at her jab.
Oh he would show her how scary he could be when she got home, all right. If she thought he would mention the mochi in the freezer after that little quip, she had another thing coming.

Brat.
He put the stir fry in the oven to keep it warm, moving through the kitchen to prepare the last few things for dinner.
Not even a half hour later, Ochako was staggering through the door looking haggard and ready for dinner and a nap. She looked clean, however, and her hair was wet meaning she was able to squeeze in a quick shower at the agency.
"Hey, hot stuff," she greeted. Her teasing tone never failed to shine through no matter how tired she was, and Katsuki hoped she never lost that quality. She crossed the space between them, grabbing the sides of his apron as an anchor as she leaned up on her tip toes to kiss him.
He leaned into it, cupping the back of her neck to keep her there. She hummed against his lips, rocking back on her heels and breaking the kiss. He rolled his eyes as she immediately sniffed at the air dramatically.
"I'm so lucky to have you and your cooking," she grinned, tugging on his apron.

"You're fucking right about that," he affirmed smugly, letting his hands rest on her hips. In reality, he knew he was the lucky one. But if she wanted to stroke his ego he wasn't going to stop her.
He smacked a kiss on her forehead and promptly pushed her back. "Now go get your ass into something more comfortable. I'll have everything out on the table when you get back."
"Mkay," she hummed. She shuffled to their bedroom, stretching as she went. Katsuki watched the sway of her hips until that ass disappeared through the doorway.
He flitted around, throwing hot pads onto the table and the hot pans right after. He filled a pitcher of water, and placed the last of the garnishes out on the table.
He was eying a package of candles in the kitchen drawer wondering just how much Ochako would make fun of him if he set a romantic atmosphere for this dinner when he heard a blood curdling scream from the bedroom.
He slammed the drawer shut and was running towards the bedroom without a second thought.

"You okay—?"

He stopped short as he got to the doorway when he saw his wife on the ceiling and absolutely nothing to be screaming over.
"Katsuki!" she wailed, pointing violently to a spot on the ground. "Help me!"
Katsuki squinted to where she was pointing, patting his chest until he found the glasses hooked into his shirt. He shoved them onto his face, and snorted when he saw exactly what she was being a baby over.
"Really, Cheeks?" he inquired with mirth. "You can take down villains twice your size, but a spider is too scary to handle?"

"Don't make fun of me, you meanie butt," she cried, eyes filled with fear. "Just save me already!"

Katsuki stooped over.
"What are you doing!?" she screeched, making him jump.

"Hah!?!" he roared, whipping his head up to glare at her. "What does it look like I'm fucking doing? I'm getting the spider!"

"Don't /touch/ it!"
"How the hell else am I supposed to get it, woman!?" He reached his palm down again when he was hit across the back with a shoe.

He yelled, explosions going off in his palms as he bared his teeth at her.
"/Don't/ touch it," she repeated, eyes on the spider as it began to move. She screamed again, pointing at it wildly. "Get it before it goes under the bed! Get it, get it, get it!"
"Fucking hell!" he roared, searching around for the box of tissues they kept by the bed while simultaneously keeping an eye on the spider. "I was fucking about to get it and then you threw your fucking shoe at me!"

"Hurry, Katsuki!" she cried.
He snatched a tissue from their nightstand and dove down to where the spider was just about to scurry away into the underbelly of their bed. He got there just in time to pick the damned thing up inside the tissue.

Ochako screamed again.
"Shut the hell up!" he screamed back. "I'm letting the damn thing outside! Get off the ceiling! You look ridiculous!"

He marched out of the room with the spider between his fingers, careful not to crush it.
He heard the thump of her landing on the bed as he went to their patio to release the creepy crawly, and huffed in frustrated amusement at her ridiculous fucking antics.
You'd think after all the shit she'd been through both as a student and as a pro hero, she'd be able to handle a measly /spider/.
She was one of the highest ranking rescue heroes, right after fucking Deku, and her villain take down count wasn't too far behind his. He'd always admired her for being fearless and bad ass, and eventually he'd fallen in love with this spit fire.

A spider. Her biggest weakness.
This wasn't his first time dealing with a spider for her. Just last week he'd gotten home to find her situated on the kitchen table, her eyes shifting around the apartment with distrust.
When he asked her where the spider was she had tried to deny it for all of two seconds before it moved and she screamed in horror. So yeah, he knew how much of a pussy she was when it came to spiders. But it never failed to baffle him.
He came back into the apartment, snorting at her head peeking around the corner from their room.

"You can come out now," he called. "The big bad spider is gone."

Ochako ran into his arms immediately, hiding her head in his chest.

Katsuki rolled his eyes.
"Fuckin' baby," he rumbled, squeezing his arms around her. "Can we have dinner now?"

Ochako nodded, giggling against him as the adrenaline began to leave her body. They shuffled over to the table as a unit, Ochako's arms remaining tight around him.

"My hero," she sang.
He ruffled her hair and pushed her down into her seat at the table so she couldn't see the blush lighting up his face.

"Yeah, yeah," he grumbled, grabbing the bowl of rice and dishing out a portion on each of their plates. "Let's eat already."
Ochako gave him a recap of her day as they ate, using her hands to express herself as she spoke. As a result it took her twice the time to finish her food, but Katsuki was content to sit back, arms crossed, and watch the excitement in her eyes.
"I kicked so much ass today," she declared, punching at invisible foes.

"Only for a spider to kick yours in the end," he smirked.

Ochako whacked him across the back of his head.

"Oi," he growled.

"Don't be so mean!" she pouted. "Being afraid of spiders is a real thing."
"I'm not denying that," he pointed out. "I just think it's fucking ridiculous."

"What," she started in a deadpan, "you don't have any silly fears like that?"

None that he would admit to.

"Nope. I'm not a pussy."
Her hand whizzed forward to whack him again, but he caught her by the wrist before it could make contact. He grinned, all teeth.
"Come on, wife," Katsuki said, voice husky. He rubbed his thumb along the inside of her wrist where one of her many scars sat jaggedly on her skin and delighted in the shiver that raced up her spine.
"Let's get everything cleaned up and get to bed. I need my reward for /saving/ you."

"You're such an ass," Ochako sighed as he brought her wrist to his lips and gently pressed a kiss there.
He grinned against her veins as her pulse spiked.

"But I'm your hero too."

"I take it back."

"Too late."

-
Two weeks later and Katsuki was on patrol when he got a call from Ochako. It surprised him—although they ran their own agency together, they actually didn't work together that often.
He only reached out to her for stupidly strong opponents and vice versa. If she was calling him, things must have gotten bad.

"Hey," he said into his phone. "Whaddya need?"

"Help," she said back nervously and brokenly. "I tried, but I /can't/."
He pushed off the wall he'd been leaning against, straightening up as he took in the desperation in her voice.

"What's the situation?"

"Villain on a rampage. They have a spider quirk."
"/Oh/." If he listened hard enough, he could make out her sniffling on the other side of the phone. He could imagine her trying to keep it together for the civilians. Fucking idiot. She was the one constantly nagging him for being 'too strong all the time'. "You okay?"
"Yeah," she answered, breathing heavily. "Just. Come be my hero, Katsuki. I sent you the location."

"Always," he murmured. He ended the call, checked the location and promptly blasted into the air in her direction.
It was a hot day, serving to make him sweatier so he could get there /faster/. As much as he teased her about it, she was terrified of spiders.
He couldn't imagine how scary this must be for her right now. She sounded on the verge of a panic attack, and he hated when she felt that anxious.
When he got to the scene, it wasn't hard to spot the villain. It also wasn't hard for him to spot Ochako. She was holding up a slab of concrete with her quirk to shield herself and civilians from the villain's attacks.
He landed next to her, and he could see her shoulders visibly relaxing at his arrival.

"Hey," he rumbled, placing a hand on her back. There were tears racing down her cheeks. "You did good here."

Her responding laugh was watery but light.
"You know how you never hurt the spiders you save me from?" she asked, digging her feet into the cement for better purchase.

He nodded.

"Kill this one, please."

He grinned, cracking his knuckles.
"On it," was all he said before blasting into the air and over the barrier. The force of his explosions flipped him in the air, but he was all too familiar with these kinds of acrobatics.
The look of surprise on the villain's ugly face was satisfying, but not satisfying enough. This spider-legged extra was about to die.

His palm crackled with explosive life, and he aimed his famous right hook right at the bastard.

It was almost too easy.
-

The bastard villain had gotten cocky after cornering Uravity, and Katsuki knew she could have taken him down in ten seconds flat if her fear hadn't overwhelmed her. It took one explosion to the chest to knock the bastard out cold.
As they took him away, Katsuki couldn't deny how gross those spider legs on his back were. The damn things sent a shiver up his spine.
Even still, the villain wasn't anything tough and it reminded him all too well of his many adventures ridding their apartment of spiders for Ochako.

Speaking of Ochako.
He turned around to see she had dropped the barrier she'd been holding up, but she was covering her eyes as they dragged the villain away.

"You okay, Uravity?" a civilian asked, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
She nodded, still not daring to open her eyes.

Katsuki shuffled over to her and pulled her into his arms, forever open to her. She melted into him, even if she tried not to show it in front of prying eyes.
"Don't make fun of me for this one," she murmured, pinching his side lightly.

"What kind of husband do you take me for?" he said, rolling his eyes as he rested his cheek against the top of her head. "I'll wait at /least/ a week to tease you about this."
She pinched him again, harder.

"Why aren't you afraid of anything stupid?" she whined, nuzzling against his chest almost painfully.
He sighed. He knew what he had to do here to get major husband points. Didn't mean he would like it.

"Geese," he muttered.

"What?" Ochako asked, confused. She lifted her head up to look at him, brows furrowed.
Katsuki brushed the crease between her eyebrows away with a thumb.

"Geese," he repeated. "They terrify me. Those fuckers bite."

Understanding dawned on her. Her lips quirked up into a small smile. Well good. She wasn't teasing him either—not yet, at least.
"And it's not stupid," Katsuki continued, shoving her face back into his neck so she would stop smiling at him. "No one is completely fearless. Even heroes."

She squeezed her arms around him, nodding against him.
There was rubble all around them from the villain's rampage, and it had taken up until now for the reporters to swarm them. Katsuki was tempted to tell them to fuck off, but Ochako insisted it was fine for them to interview them.
The leeches managed to separate them, which was their fucking funeral since he wasn't as nice without Ochako's calming presence.
He kept his eyes on her during their interview though, glad to see she looked less green. Much more like her usual self. She was even cracking jokes which was far better than the one-word answers he was providing for his interviewer.
His reporter called it quits before Ochako's, obviously unsure of where to go with Katsuki's surly attitude. So he shuffled closer to Ochako as he waited for her interview to be over.

"—that incident seemed hard for you. Would you be willing to open up on why?"
Ochako smiled, brushing her sweaty hair out of her face. Her suit was torn in several places, showing off scars that proved just how hard she fought against some of the toughest opponents.
"I'll be honest: I'm terrified of spiders. The only way I know how to deal with them is to call my husband." She glanced over at him, beaming. "So that's what I did this time too!"
Katsuki harrumphed, glancing away from her diamond smile with red ears. Damn Ochako for being so fucking charming.
The rest of the interview went smoothly, and Ochako seemed grateful the reporter wasn't accusing her of letting the situation get out of hand because of her fear.
In fact, they applauded her for keeping a level head. Which was good. If they had said one unkind word towards her, they'd be dealing with his foul mouth.
After several more minutes, Katsuki saw the interviewer enthusiastically shaking Ochako's hand and thanking her for the opportunity for him to speak to her.
"My pleasure," she reassured him, waving him off as he and his cameraman got a call to head elsewhere.

Finally.

Leeches always hogged his wife.
Ochako turned to him with a smile, and it somehow managed to fight away all the annoyed anger within him.

"Look at you being all patient," she teased, stepping towards Katsuki and reaching for his hand.

Katsuki huffed.
"The day's almost over," he remarked. "Wanna spend the rest of our patrol together?"

Ochako rolled her eyes.

"You just want to get to the agency together and lure me into the shower with you."
"Do you have a problem with that?" Katsuki hummed, leaning down to press his forehead to hers. He could hear cameras clicking at them, but he didn't care.
"Hmm," Ochako murmured back, tapping her lip in thought. She cracked a moment later, smiling. "I guess not."
-

The next day Ochako's face was on the cover of every magazine, the headlines of which read something along the lines of 'even heroes have fears'.
Each article went into detail about the incident, about her words afterwards about being afraid of spiders, and how she was able to protect the surrounding civilians despite being terrified.
There were several pictures of Katsuki holding her close after the fact, and the articles diluted into details about their romance and marriage.

It was a cause for Ochako to roll her eyes, but at the same time feel weirdly proud of herself.
She thought she would receive backlash from the media for not being proactive in the fight against the spider villain, but she was getting nothing but praise. It nearly made her head reel. But it just went to show how far she'd progressed as a hero, even in the media's eyes.
It was one of her and Katsuki's rare shared day offs, and they had taken to the streets in casual wear. It was a humid day, and the streets were alive with all sorts of different people.
Katsuki held her hand as she perused the different booths along the streets. He bought sweets for her, and eventually they stopped at a small cafe for dinner.
"Should we sit outside, Katsuki?" she inquired, already tugging him forward. But he didn't budge. Not even an inch. "Katsuki?"

"Let's stay inside, Cheeks," he said stiffly, "where there's air conditioning."
"You're acting weird," she commented, glancing outside to see what the problem was. She grinned when she saw what had him so stiff.

"Not a word," he growled, pushing her towards an empty table.

There were geese outside.
"What kind of wife do you take me for?" she inquired, sugar sweet. "I'll wait at /least/ a week before teasing you over this."

"Shut up," he growled, face red.
She grinned, reaching out to ruffle his hair.

Everyone was afraid of something, it seemed.

Even heroes.
