Alright, serious mode since OP is asking for it.

Lemme tell you about an underappreciated visual novel that a few years old yet still does better storytelling than Super Lesbian Golf 2: Self Insert Boogaloo.

The game of more so 80/20 Story/SJRPG so it's a fairer comparison 1/? https://twitter.com/DecimaPs5/status/1275351239270764545
It's all based on experience and memory so I can't be fully subjective but will try. And will be spoiler free as much as possible. Here I go.

The setting took place years after the events of the first game. However it sets itself as a separate tale than direct sequel. 2/?
It didn't require knowledge of the first game but it does fill in the necessary gaps for newcomers when relevant plot came by.

The story may be linear but it made up for it with world building and interactions. It has its funny moments but not afraid to show darker elements. 3/?
The setting may be fictional but has some grounds in reality, historical reality, not 1:1 current world shit.

The cast of characters are truly diverse and legit deep the more you see them. You watch them grow and change as it went on. Each have their own appeals & flaws 4/?
MC is literally and figuratively human. You watch/read him at his best and worst moments. You witness his growth as a character as well as his moments of weakness. Things don't always go his way but he pushes through until the end. 5/?
The final moments in both of those entries was absolutely emotional. After all that journey together, there's definitely that side of you that wish it ends on a more merry note (however it does feel more hopeful in the Mask of Truth epilogue)

6/?
A quick look to the review scores and it seems high. May not be a full 10/10 but I can assure you a better experience than this dumpster fire.

If possible, check your Steam/PS Store and give it a shot!

Even tho this thread won't reach that many.
