months ago I got into a minor twitter scuffle with chris d’elia and multiple colleagues warned me that I should be careful because it could hurt my career but anytime his name was mentioned in a professional setting he was avoided bc everyone had a story about how shitty he was,
so my question is, when the fuck is hollywood going to drop this whole “oh we need to be nice to people in the industry” bullshit and stop helping terrible people carry on or even THRIVE for the sake of courtesy?????
when will speaking the truth be more important than not talking about high profile people? when will we finally be able to call a spade a spade without risking our low level careers???
WE SHOULD NOT DEEM PEOPLE WITH INFLUENCE AS UNTOUCHABLE SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THEIR INFLUENCE. THE WAY PEOPLE TREAT OTHER HUMAN BEINGS SHOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THEIR STATUS.
btw not saying that anyone who said I shouldn’t beef online with chris d’elia is the problem here, the problem here is we’ve created a culture where if you work in the industry we can’t even tweet “why are you making this all about you” at big names without being AFRAID
