I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I need to vent my frustrations with my football club.

The whole club is fucking rotten. From top to bottom.

And there’s three people to blame for it.
This club once made me and thousands of others proud. We were never a great team, but supporting West Ham is more than the team on the pitch. It’s the whole family feel around the club and it’s supporters. It is a club like no other.
I have watched us lose more times than I care to remember. It used to envoke feelings of frustration and anger. Now, I watch the team flounder on the pitch and I just shake my head in disbelief and sadness at what this club has become.
This once proud club has become an embarrassment to its loyal supporters.

For me and many others, gone are the days of feeling excited about a Matchday. It hasn’t been the same since 10 May 2016.
Ever since David Sullivan got his mitts on this club, it has been a depressing steady decline.

The second the owners walked into the club, their eyes were on the Olympic Stadium, not West Ham United.
We made it clear. We didn’t want to leave Upton Park. But we were sold a dream, and delivered a nightmare.

A club founded on the spirit of the working man of East London has had its heart ripped out by the rich.
Sullivan has asset-stripped the club since the day he walked in.

The stadium was sold. The World Cup Winners statue was left behind. Almost every bit of the club’s history was auctioned off to the highest bidder upon moving to Stratford.
A football club is nothing without its fan base, yet the owners of this club have treated us with contempt since day one.

Even something as small as adding “London” to our crest might not seem like much to a neutral, but it makes the majority of us West Ham fans sick.
GSB have a reputation low enough for there to be a number of people at different clubs who refuse to deal with them.

They have not invested correctly in the football club, and it is catching up with us at long last.
What do we have now?

A rented multi-purpose stadium, training facilities which would do a disservice to a mid-table Championship club, and a recruitment system which would be considered inadequate for a League Two side.
For years, the club has been run like a circus, and people who have worked for the club have stepped away wondering how on Earth a Premier League football club has been able to run this way.
Recruitment has been a problem for a number of years at the club. The amount of research and analysis going into each signing at every other Premier League club is in depth. For us, it is a mere matter of desperately trying to fill a position.
When buying players, there is no consideration given to how the player may adapt, what his style of play is, what his personality is like, and how he can complement the current style of play.

There is no system in place. No ambition to reach the “next level” we were promised.
David Moyes was deeply unpopular the last time he managed the club. When Pellegrini was let go, we cried out for an ambitious signing. A big name manager. Maybe an Ancelotti or a Kovac.

We were delivered Moyes, proving once again the distain the board has for us.
Everything about the club right now stinks. On and off the pitch. And the buck stops at the very top. And that is with the owners.

The owners have ripped the heart and soul out of a club who were once known as everyone’s second team.
David Sullivan, along with David Gold and Karren Brady, has ruined this football club.

We are a laughing stock and relegation is imminent. If it isn’t this season, it will be next season.
The board dragged us away from our spiritual home, and plotted us in a soulless bowl.

Every rival fan across the country comments on how awful the stadium is and how we “are not West Ham anymore”.

And they’re absolutely right.
I feel a lot of sadness. West Ham fans are amongst the most passionate in the country. Rarely do I meet a West Ham fan who doesn’t absolutely bleed claret and blue.
We deserve better, and we need to NEVER give up the fight and eventually rid the club of the cancer that is eating away at us.
Better days will come, I’m sure of it. But the longer GSB control this club, the further away those days seem.

Rant over.
