Hardly surprising, the guy is 26, and the follow-up permanent signing was always going to happen. No complaints from me. Is he good enough? I dunno, but our current financial situation will almost certainly make it hard to find anyone better

Yeah this one is weird, but people praised the signing in January! He& #39;s a Premier League proven option who& #39;s signing for free. 4 years is a lot but most complaints are based on the fact he& #39;s not played. Sorry he& #39;s been injured?? 1-2 years makes more sense ofc

3. Luiz 1yr deal
Tbh, say what you want about him (and there& #39;s plenty to say), but he has been our best defender this year. Yes, that& #39;s not saying much, but we& #39;re in no position to lose players when there& #39;s no guarantee of funds to replace them. One more year makes sense

4. Auba and Saka?
Every other contract was facing a deadline tonight, these two aren& #39;t. The packages in place for them will be far more complex and their agents will rightly negotiate hard. Likely nothing will be resolved till the summer but no doubt club is working on it

People turn quick don& #39;t they? Don Raul is now the villain. Ultimately, he& #39;s having to carefully balance the rebuild by adding quality with little funds and removing deadwood to 0 buyers. It& #39;s not easy. Contracts remain serious issue. Will judge in 2 years ...
