Some random person invited me to do a Q and A recently to a group of Brits and one seemed to be a cis het white guy who asked questions that seemed belittling and racist. I am beginning to ask organizations and people who invite me to do Q and A's how their moderation will...
operate because I've just had it with ignorant questions after showing my art. I think it's worth considering for festivals and galleries to seriously look at how they manage their audiences with BIPOC/LGBTQ artists in a way that does not degrade
the people they are supposed to be uplifting. How do you moderate your Q and A's? Have you thought about opting out of audience questions or asking for questions to be sent in in advance? It's really tiresome to answer ignorant surface level questions
and I am thinking of also telling people I won't answer their question more often.
