I’m glad to hear the FBI thoroughly investigated the rope in Bubba Wallace’s NASCAR garage and found that it was used for likely pulling down the garage door and not as a noose for a hate crime. I never tweeted about this before because I wanted real evidence for the real truth.

Too often on social and mainstream media people take an incident and blow it up so virally that it becomes accepted as the truth without question. It is in fact very dangerous. We should always wait for the actual facts before jumping on some hot topic without real investigation.

This will not destroy the movement for racial justice. If anything, it’ll strengthen the movement. Because at the end of the day, our movement is powered by the truth based on facts and evidence. It’s ok to be wrong as long as we correct it and continue fighting for what’s right.
