So, a man was fired from his job today. A new man will name who gets the fired man’s job. It will take the new new man time to get acclimatized to the new job. Also, the new man is in change until December of 2020, so the new new man won’t really get going til Jan 2021.

I feel bad 4 the fired man. Not coz I agree w/what he did, but coz I don’t think he is the problem.

The fired man was very similar 2 the previous man he replaced, and fit the mould of what the employer was looking for. At least he did, when he was hired 3 years ago

The problem with the company is a cultural problem. The corporate culture is rotten, so anybody who makes it will suffer the same fate, because it’s not you, it’s the culture.
So who is responsible for this culture? Certainly not the fired man, or the previous man.

Wanna know who I believe has a lot to answer for? The boss: the person who was at the tippy top when the fired man, and the previous man, were hired. The person who oversaw 20 years of a system that fails black students. The person who frustrated every effort to improve

That person is not a man, but is in fact a woman: Janet McDougald, former chair of the board for 20 years.
No conversation about the company can be complete without asking what responsibility the chair of the board has, in where we r today.

Janet McDougald is responsible for a lot of the issues in the board, because she was in chant he for 20 years. Much longer than the fired man was there (she hired him), and longer than the new man (dec 2020) and the new new man (Jan 2021 ➡️) will be there.

The man7/ and one more thing: people like Janet McDougald might be offended by this thread. They might think I should “stay in my lane”. Well, to those people I say “2 black kids in the system makes all this my lane.”
