I’ve been thinking about thisnon-stop. A lot of people are reacting like “lol what are you talking about, no one is coming for Christianity,” but frankly, we should be

Bc aside from white people, do you know what the most oppressive group in our nation’s history is? Christians. https://twitter.com/jennaellisesq/status/1275215576684802049
I’m not saying people should recant their faith or apologize for being Christian, much like white people aren’t being asked to apologize for being white. I also know that “not all Christians” are hateful.
But if you can’t examine and RECOGNIZE the harm this group has done and continues to do every day, and if you don’t speak out against it, you are part of the problem.

If you read this and want to say “well REAL Christians blah blah blah,” then you’re not getting it.
The harm that Christianity does to people is systemic. It’s engrained into every part of our society and our legal system.

And too many feel absolved of the pain it causes, because “the Bible says.”
Guess what. The people you’re hurting, for the most part, don’t believe in the Bible. And telling them that it’s okay to infringe upon their rights because a fictional book told you it was okay to do so is exactly what makes this religion so oppressive.
