As a grad student, I had few interactions with Black faculty. I admired them from and immersed myself in their work. I met @DrSullivanAL at my first @nasponline convention in 2009 and greatly appreciate her willingness to nuture a young scholar #Academics4BlackLives #Love4Mentor

While cross-cultural mentoring is effective, there's something special about connecting with other Black women and watching how they successfully navigate white professional spaces. I'm grateful for the sista scholars in school psych who've paved the way.
