Dear #clifighters, it has been a great honor to work with some of the most skilled and compassionate doctors around the world. 3 weeks ago, I was given the honor of performing the First In Man procedure for QuickClear by @Philips. With its simplicity and easy set up
I was more than excited to see high quality competition enter the market for mechanical thrombectomy. Having a reliable device in both the hospital and OBL setting that does not require additional capital is a great plus. I’m looking forward to seeing what this device can do
both on the arterial and venous side. Most importantly....it does what it says it can do; quickly aspirate acute clot in an efficient manner. Some was more organized on IVUS, but we still got the job done
Re-established arterial inflow
Quick Clear in action! Note the rapid aspiration after the device is turned on. The entire setup is in one package.
Here is the completion run of the graft.
Central run. The patient went to dialysis the same day, and has had a functioning shunt since.
So many to thank...but I wanted to give a shout out to @Mustapja. The platform I have wouldn’t exist without you ✊🏾. @Watts_IR @monteromiguel @raosid @dandu_n @DrPatGeraghty @farkomd @kmadass @JayMathewsMD @padadvocate @JRUNMD @roblookstein and so many more
Thank you to @Philips for recognizing my passion for patient care, and giving me the platform to eliminate disparities in Amputation Prevention. I cherish the fact that you value my honesty and don’t give me cue cards 😉 #FirstinMan #QuickClear #dvt #acutethrombusbegone
