It is time to make SA better.
Following in the footsteps of my work mate & her #SALockdownSaturdays initiative, I think we could all do with a pick-me-up. This thread is just a few ideas you can do to make SA (or whatever country you live in) better.

(Feel free to add ideas)
1. Make sure you are wearing your South African gear on Saturday - traditional clothing, supporters shirts, etc.
Then post on social media what you are doing. Not for accolades but to encourage others to do the same and bring a smile.
2. Donate clothing. I know a lot of you did a "spring" clean during lockdown & are getting rid of old clothes. Those in the Durban North area can DM me if you need a place to donate.
Check your communities for outreach programmes.
3. Support Intshisekelo - an underprivileged school. The future of our country needs your help. You have all seen the mess that is SA education. You can help by donating money or PPE for the school in Inanda.
Speak to me about how you can assist.
4. Donate for CHOC. Children suffering from cancer need your help probably kow more than ever. The link will be in the comments to this part of the thread.
5. Make a plastic brick. Use a 2L cole bottle to store old, clean plastic. Make sure you pack it tight and fill it to the top. These can be used to build cheap housing AND save the environment. Or you could paint it and use it as a door stop.
6. Hire someone who needs some work. There are plenty of people out there who need a form of income.
Share this thread will also encourage more people who can do something to do something.
7. Reach out to a friend or family member you haven't spoken to in some time. No time like the present to mend fences.
8. Have a great rest of the week. Physical distance and be safe. And talk to someone if you are feeling down.

Be blessed.
