In regards to the Pokemon Community and how it systematically protects abusers and silences victims until someone with evidence holds them accountable.
The person in the DMs is one of the victims of @JustPlayPokemon and their story is credible.
This is disgusting.
Not to mention both of my best friends were ostracized from the Poketuber community because they spoke out against Decoder, but the Pokemon community valued free graphics over human lives.
They can tell their story themselves, but they're worth remembering.
None of this is new.
All of these abusers have been in the community for years and years, and people often chose to ignore it, not believe victims, and refuse to speak out if they knew something because apparently clout and success outweigh basic human decency.
This story can't just be swept under the rug.
There are real human consequences to the negligence of the Pokemon Community and especially the ignorance and blatant disregard of Poketubers.
Believe victims.
Protect those who can't protect themselves.
Stand up for the voiceless.
If you're a Poketuber, you need to look yourself in the mirror and ask if you're doing enough.
Sexual assault is the worst thing you can do to another human being.
If you're scared or are friends with the accused or whatever, your pain is NOTHING compared to the victims.
If you have any sort of platform, it is your OBLIGATION to speak out for those who can't.
Yet the Pokemon Community in general incentivizes purposeful ignorance and punishes anyone who comes forward.
This needs to stop, or there will continue to be victims.
This has happened enough times now that there is no excuse.
This isn't some isolated incident, this is a shit ton of predatory behavior being ignored or even defended, and as long as it exists, these horrible tragedies you're all so "heartbroken" about will HAPPEN AGAIN
Do better.
Be better.
You owe your viewers that much.

This issue needs wider knowledge.
People need to know the danger the Pokemon Community represents so they can either speak out against it or save themselves from ever being part of it.
