Employees have the notion that HR is on their side. I'm sorry to tell you that this is not the case always. HR consists of employees of the company and they serve the interests of the company. During conflicts HR will defend the company. 1/4
They usually try to contain the situation or keep it on the down low which is what allows them to keep getting away with not supporting employees that have been wronged. 2/4
Only when people go public and the image of the company is at stake HR will approach things in a more employee friendly way. But don't forget that they are still serving the interests of the company. 3/4
I'm lucky to work at Spotify but other people aren't as lucky. 4/4
