Not gonna quote tweet LRT but I kinda suspect that needing to be mad about inconsequential fandom bullshit that is a small enough "problem" to wrap their heads around is precisely why we've had a half a dozen weird discourse flare-ups in the last few days

Murderous cops are scary and they aren't going to be shamed into behaving with decency by yelling at them on Twitter, but I can trick myself into believing I'm making a difference in the world by scolding strangers for feeling a rowdiness in the loins about himbos or pokemon
