A THREAD: From randomly typing in Word to frantically get out my thoughts.

When it comes to serious topics, I have a hard time finding my own words. I like filling up the quiet spaces with stupid songs, silly comments, and burps. That’s just me, and that’s always been me. (1/10)
I put too much pressure on myself to be eloquent with my words if I do have to (or feel the need to) comment on something more serious, and end up locking up in the process. (2/10)
But it doesn’t have to be anything elaborate or fancy. Words are just words, especially if they’re not backed up with action. (3/10)
Genuine kindness goes way further than any amount of words you can say, and I’m learning this, and I’m trying not to be too hard on myself when I don’t have a 20-tweet-thread to post. (4/10)
I have a lot of emotions today. A lot of things have been building up since basically the start of 2020, and I have finally allowed myself to cry. Because… IT’S. OKAY. TO. CRY. (5/10)
I recently had someone I considered a good friend step away from my community (they said temporarily) because I was vocally supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. (6/10)
They were a part of my community, because we generally keep the topics comfy, and they used my community to have a place of peace. While I love that, staying silent is not relevant right now, nor is staying comfy, nor is peace. (7/10)
We can’t really have peace until everyone has it, right? Do what you have to do to take care of your mental health. That is important. Caring for your mental health is going to help you be a better ally. (8/10)
Be a better ally by speaking up for those who aren’t heard, donating to charities if you can, using your resources for good to help make this world be a better place. (9/10)
I am not great with words, but I stand by these:

Black lives matter.
Trans rights are human rights.
Trans women are women.
Trans men are men.
Love is love.
Listen.
Wear a mask in public.
Drink water.

Scared to push send, because I hate being vulnerable, but here we go.
