So now that our ridiculous government has decided it's safe to lift lockdown further and pretend everything's back to normal, I've decided it's time to share the letter I sent to my MP, @AnneMarieMorris, on the 27th of May. The letter she still hasn't replied to. Tagging @PRSD

People have been openly flouting social distancing guidelines since the Cummings scandal, and the PM's unscientific reduction of 2m to 1m distance effectively means no one will pay the slightest bit of attention to distancing any more.

And why should they listen to a word this government says? Why should they trust a single cabinet minister? Truth is irrelevant now. Science is irrelevant. Accountability is irrelevant. Whatever shred of integrity they had left was obliterated by Cummings's 'eyesight test'.

#BorisHasFailedTheNation time and time again. By failing to #SackCummings he placed his adviser's career above the lives of British people. The effects of that decision are permanent and will linger for a frighteningly long time.

We need leadership. We've had hypocrisy and lies. And today's announcements are just more of the same. The pandemic hasn't gone away. A deadly virus is still rampaging. But social distancing is effectively over because nobody takes anything our Prime Minister says seriously.

Because he's proven we _can't_ take him seriously. Because he's proven he's a liar being advised by a liar and that lies take precedence over public safety.

So, no. I'm absolutely #NotMovingOnTillDomIsGone. Because more people are going to die. Because truth bloody well matters.

And as I can't even get the courtesy of a reply from my own MP, I'm airing this here.

I'll be sticking to 2 metres. I'll be wearing a mask in public indoor spaces. I won't be going to the damned pub. Responsibility lies with individuals now. The gov't has washed its hands of us.
