My grandfather, Faiz Bux Rajwana brought this Mango variety to fame. A little story behind it, in 1971 a widow sent mangos to fruit market in late September. Malik sb traced the mangos to her house, paid her to buy grafts....
And there started the journey of one of the most successful varieties of late season mangos.

Again a chance seedling, was available at other places perhaps. But it’s commercialisation is again attributed to Malik Sb.

A little story about Kala Chaunsa — at one of our nursery’s there used to be SCARP Tubewell, people used to eat mangos there and throw its stone there. Out of those, one chance seedlings came Kala Chaunsa.

it’s named after my grandfather and great grandfather. It is a reported man made cross (1986-1994) developed by my uncle, Malik A. Qadir (Pride of Perfomance)

Not commercially available — but it’s the best amongst the best. See the comparison following chart.
