I'll say this regarding the fireworks thing.
Nobody disagrees on the following: cheap professional grade fireworks were flooded into Black & Brown communities as the protests took off.

Now the state is producing a repressive carceral response.

now we can debate about the source of the fireworks. There's basically two theories: 1) the state is actively involved in the influx 2) Capitalists are actively involved in the influx trying to make a buck when they lost money on fireworks sales due to COVID cancellations

But we know that Black and Brown communities are not the source of the fireworks in their communities.

Does this sound familiar?

Now, I don't care if you jump to the CIA/FBI is involved. That's where my head goes, because I'm a student of history. But we don't know that of course.

What we know is that this is now being used by the state as an instrument of racist, classist repression.

And that this is being done at the height of the largest period of sustained unrest since the late 60's early 70's

Do with that information what you will, but we must oppose all efforts by all levels of government to continue to produce carceral responses. They are morally untenable and always used against the same people who all of their other racist and classist policies marginalize.

If you don't get the connection, look at CIA, Crack cocaine, the work of Gary Webb. Now it could be that Capital is more the cause here than the CIA or FBI, but that really doesn't matter. In a capitalist state, the violence of Capital is the violence of the state.
