At least seven women have accused Louisville cop Brett Hankison, who shot & killed Breonna Taylor in her own home, of sexual misconduct. Hankison has been fired for "blindly" shooting 10 rounds into Taylor's apartment while she & her BF were sleeping.
Hankison has only been fired for killing Taylor, no other charges have been brought against him & the other officers that night.
The seven accusations of sexual misconduct against Hankison are all eerily similar:
Young white woman at a bar, she's drunk, it's late 2am or so, the bar closes not many people are around, she walks outside waiting for an uber and Hankison pulls up in his police car, dressed in uniform, and offers a ride home.
She politely declines, there's a back & forth, she acquiesces. Some of the women have said that they finally decided to go with him bc he was a cop (in his cop car, dressed in uniform!) he really can't be a threat. Once in the car, many said, he groped them and came onto them.
As women were posting their stories about Hankison on Instagram, more women were coming forward in the comments section:

“Omg seeing his face! He did the same thing to me. Thank you for sharing!”
“Holy shit a girl I know was sexually assaulted by him too in this exact way. This is a fucking pattern.”
“I have had multiple encounters with him too. He’s the worst. He literally baits drunk women at bars."
“I know so many women who have had similar experiences with him. I’m sorry to hear you went through this, but thank you for sharing your story.”
"Wow it’s so harrowing to see the similarities in our stories. I just commented on [Emily]’s post about him giving me a ride home. I thought he was a good cop giving me a ride home from the bars."
“Holy fuck I’m so sorry this happened to you. I have no idea who you are but he tried to do the exact same thing to me while I was leaving a bar. Piece of shit. Thank you for being brave and sharing. All my love.”
The women who accused Hankison put out a joint statement earlier this month.

"Who do you call when the person who preys on you is the police?"
Many have said they came forward in order to get justice for Breonna.

"The people who are supposed to protect us, are instead protecting a murderer and a rapist. Let that sink in.⁣

Breonna Taylor is her name. Brett Hankison helped murder her."
LMPD chief Robert Schroeder wrote in his termination letter: "The 10 rounds you fired were into a patio door & window which were covered with material that completely prevented you from verifying any person as an immediate threat or more importantly any innocent persons present."
Some of the bullets, Schroeder wrote, traveled into Taylor's neighbor's apartment, "endangering" three people.
